Next Generation Text Relay


This service supports individuals with hearing loss and/or speech impairments in making and receiving phone calls. To use it, simply download the Relay UK app from the Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS) and follow the setup instructions.


Use the following number prefixes when using the service:


  • Emergency Calls: Dial 18000 (free of charge)

  • Text Relay Call: Dial 18001 + [phone number] (free) – To initiate a relay-assisted call

  • Standard Text Call: Dial 18002 + [phone number] (standard UK minutes charge)



Emergency Services via Text


SumoSim customers can contact emergency services via text message by dialing 999 or 112 (free of charge).

Note: You must register your phone before using the emergency SMS service.

Free Directory Enquiries


This service is available to individuals who are unable to read or handle a phone directory due to a disability or health condition. SumoSim customers must register to use this service.
